Q: How many worksheets are in each book?
A: 36. In the Addition & Subtraction book there are 18 pages of addition, 13 pages of subtraction, and 5 pages of mixed problems. In the Multiplication & Division book there are 22 pages of multiplication and 14 pages of division. Q: Who is Steve Aikenhead? A: I'm a semi-retired teacher and a writer. I used to teach full-time at an elementary school in California, but now I help (I hope) each winter at that school and I substitute in Vermont, where I live most of the year. Q: How did you get the idea for Dot-to-Dot math? A: At the school in California I was always looking for ways to make learning more interesting and fun. One year I thought of making self-correcting math worksheets. The idea to use dot-to-dot came out of the blue. I've never seen a book like Dot-to-Dot before. Q: There are two artists in the Addition & Subtraction book, but only one, Vickisa, in the Multiplication & Division book. What happened to Mike Mahoney? A: If you find him, please let me know. After we worked together on the Addition & Subtraction book, which I did some years before the Multiplication & Division book, I lost track of Mike. Q: Are you planning any more Dot-to-Dot books? A: I could use some feedback in making this decision. Would students learning fractions and decimals want a Dot-to-Dot book? I could make one. |
